Oli's journey home from Las Vegas

Oli's last day has already started. We pack our things hungover and check out at the Tuscany Suites and drive a few kilometers along the strip to one of the large premium outlet centers with all the different branded stores.

We eat at the Chinese in the FoodCourt. Another World Cup game is on TV. Then we start our shopping tour. Only in the Nikestore do I buy a sports tennis otherwise I just watch it. Sometimes the prices are astonishingly lower than at home. Timberland shoes or jeans cost only a third as much here as in Switzerland. So we spend the afternoon before we make one last stop in front of the airport. The famous Welcome-to-Fabulous-Las-Vegas sign is of course not to be missed, even if in our case it is more of a goodbye. Then we drive to the airport where Oli has to pack his things. The time passed incredibly quickly. We had a great time together and experienced an incredible amount of fantastic things together.

So for the next three days I'll be on my own on the way to Salt Lake City. There I will be accompanied again in the form of Reto Gyger and my brother. I'm driving quickly north on Interstate I15. The sun has already set when I get back to the Valley of Fire. To my relief I find one of the last places on the great located Atlalt Rock Campground. In the middle of the rocks of the valley, which are still glowing red even at dusk, I set up my tent and take a shower. After the obligatory diary, I go to bed early.
