- Relax and wash
- Make backup of my previous recordings and continue to complete the blog
- Watch the final between Germany and Argentina
- Jogging through the surrounding area
- Celebrate Judy's 72nd birthday and eat delicious food
Today will not be one of the highlights of my trip. Taking a break for a day after all of this is certainly good and should make you want to experience something new. Anyway, I'll spend the morning sorting and backing up my 3800 recordings so far. Then the final of the soccer World Cup from Brazil is waiting for me. Of course, you shouldn't miss that as a sports fan under any circumstances. I have my private viewing on the huge TV screen in the basement. In the afternoon I do a 40-minute jog through the area. The way leads me through a cozy residential area in the typical North American single-family house style. After a shower, I feel fresher than before.
Five of us celebrate Judy's 72nd birthday with Aaron and Rebecca, who cooked delicious Thai shrips. For dessert there is delicious homemade raspberry ice cream. Carl also serves an incredibly chunky chocolate birthday cake from the supermarket. My personal highlight, as the 50% discount voucher is still stuck to the cake packaging. A chocolate sheet with Happy Birthday Judy was affixed to it without love. The cake was supposed to be a Black Forest cake, but the intermediate layers are made of chocolate cream and really chocolate-dripping biscuit. The whole thing is then topped with an extremely thick coconut icing =)
