Vancouver

  • Bring the car to the service
  • Take the Seabus to downtown
  • Visit of Gastown and Chinatown
  • Walk down the shopping streets of Granville and Robson Street
  • getting a hair cut
  • Greek food and then enjoy the wonderful view of the city at night in the revolving restaurant Cloud9

We get up at 9 a.m. and take the car to the nearby Kaltire car service. Then we buy a fruit and take the bus to Londsdale Quay. From there we take the Seabus ferry to downtown Vancouver. Unfortunately the sky is mostly cloudy this morning, but at least it stays dry.

We start with a tour of the historic Gastown district. In addition to a few souvenir shops and trendy bars, you can see the old steam-powered clock, the landmark of the district. Next stop is Chinatown. Here you really feel like you've been transported to China. Nothing that you couldn't buy in these everyday shops. Unfortunately, the numerous homeless people hanging around are also striking. At lunchtime we have a delicious meal in a sushi restaurant.

Finally we continue our tour along the busy Granville and Robson Streets. All the big fashion labels have their offshoots here. But our motto is primarily to see instead of buy, after all, our luggage hardly allows any further growth. At 5 p.m. I have my now overdue appointment with the hairdresser. Niki is anything but enthusiastic about the cutting technique of the local hairdresser. In my opinion, the result is okay.

On Robson Street we find a Greek restaurant for dinner. Then we go for a drink in the rooftop restaurant Cloud9. Here we have a wonderful view over the sea of lights of the entire city. Finally we take the bus back to the hotel.
