The big trip through four US states

  • Drive from Oregon, to Washington, on to Idaho and finally into Montana
  • Shop at Walmart and a massive mall
  • Finally arrived in Butte, Montana at 11 p.m.

So today we want to push as far east as possible. Strengthened, we set off on the long drive via Kennewick and Spokane from Oregon back to Washington. On the way we buy the most essential groceries in a Walmart and of course the obligatory coffee for Niki shouldn't be missing. The desolate route offers hardly any attractions and so we drive quickly through the desolate plains and alternate again and again.

We make another shopping stop in the spacious Spokane Valley Shopping Mall. Here, too, the summer collections are currently being sold out and the clothes are practically "thrown at" the buyer. In a crazy promotion I buy four pairs of long and short pants for one pair for $ 36. The fashion labels just seem to want to empty their warehouses. Niki got hold of a combination of body lotion, shampoo and perfume for $ 30 and a pair of shoes. After a sandwich and other snacks, it's back to driving, driving, driving. Soon we will be crossing the Idaho state line. Here the landscape is again forested and more varied again through hills. Fortunately, we're making good progress on the interstate. We finally reach the Fairmont Hotsprings around 11 o'clock in the evening, where we spend the night in the RV Park.
