In Niki's element: shopping in Las Vegas

  • Shopping in the Premium Outlet Center South
  • Welcome to visit Fabulous Las Vegas
  • Play roulette until the early hours of the morning

After the breakfast buffet and further Skype calls and research, we drive to the Las Vegas Premium Outlet South. Here, not far from the center, there are plenty of shops that undercut European prices by far. Also striking are the sales-increasing promotions, such as three shirts for 30 dollars or buy one and get two for free. Branded items in particular cost a maximum of half the Swiss price. Logically, that one time or another we get weak. I buy two shirts, new hiking boots, a belt, and Niki gives me a leisure backpack and a t-shirt for my birthday. She herself holds back astonishingly with purchases, which is why the luxury label Michael Kors is struck. A pair of Timberland shoes, a pair of new sunglasses and a watch are their prey. In between we fortify ourselves at the food court.

Much later than planned, we make our way back to the hotel. It is already getting dark when we arrive at what is perhaps the most famous landmark in Las Vegas: the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. Here we even witness a marriage with Elvis as pastor. Unfortunately we only have our iPhones with us for taking pictures. The slow ride along the strip at dusk is another highlight.

Then we go to dinner. This time it should be Mexican cuisine in the same indoor piazza as on the first evening. We'll throw ourselves into gambling later. After an extremely successful start, our success is ultimately moderate. Niki's evening ends with a profit, I lose almost 100 CHF: It was a fun evening anyway and there are also free drinks.
