- Arrival in Rio de Janeiro
- Visit the Copacabana
- Caipirinhas at the beach bar
As expected, the night was uncomfortable and short. In any case, we are both really tired when we approach Rio after the poor breakfast. The approach to the Galeão Airport is not particularly worth seeing because of the clouds. Fortunately, everything went smoothly with the entry and our luggage also made the long way to Brazil. Sometimes Americans would be better off worrying only about their own problems. At the Brazilian Customs, the missing exit document doesn't seem to interest anyone.
We go to a bank to change first reais. Then we go with the cheap one Taxi to Leme. During the trip we get to see some of the city, including some of the city Favela called poor district outside the city, in walking distance to the world famous Copacabana we have AirBnb found a nice place. Claudio is already waiting for us and briefly explains the essentials.
At first we are pretty tired from the long journey. We feel a little better after a shower. Now let's have a look around. Walk the few meters to the beach and we are already waiting for us Copacabana Beach with its beach bars, beach volleyball and beach soccer fields, joggers, surfers and many more Cariocas, as the people of Rio are called. We dine deliciously with a Lebanese and then sip two more Caipirinhas in a beach bar. Then go to bed early.
