Beach soccer players from Sugar Loaf

  • Enjoy a day on the beach at Copacabana

Today in Rio we take it easy. It takes a while until we get one in the streets of Lemes and Copacabana Bank found which work with our cards. Since we haven't had breakfast yet, we're adding Acai and juice take a break.

Then we march back to the room to change clothes and go to the beach. After all, we've seen all sorts of things in Rio so far, one quiet afternoon on the beach but we haven't indulged ourselves yet. So it's high time to catch up on that! It's not too busy on the beach on Mondays, but it's still a spectacle. Mobile vendors advertise drinks and food, fitness gurus who do sport present their bodies, yoga practitioners try to relax and boys juggling soccer balls repeatedly show their skills, the eyes never get bored here.

After a first swim in the sun, you have to - in the truest sense of the word - cool down. The Atlantic breaks in impressive waves a few meters from the coast and the strong current makes swimming not for everyone. In the waves are actually only surfer to see. So we spend a leisurely afternoon on the beach.

After showering, we march back to the beach with the camera in our luggage for a few more Memory pictures close. The low sun casts the fascinating hilly landscape in the background of Rio in a beautiful evening look, which is intensified by the haze. Afterwards we treat ourselves to a few caipirinhas in one of the beach bars and marvel at the picture-perfect sunset and the Soccer volleyball player. The boys' foot skills are really fascinating, as some hobby volleyball teams would have trouble

Finally, we dine at one of the nearby buffets.
