The day of departure from Bonito has already dawned. We spend the morning packing, reading and surfing. Then we buy some food for the long journey ahead. We take a taxi to the bus station and buy a ticket for the direction Douradosfrom where we continue to Cascavel and finally after Foz de Iguazu want. However, the second bus should already be fully booked. After weighing up our remaining options, we decided to make the trip anyway and, if necessary, to stay overnight in Dourados. The tourist-friendly minibus alternative between Bonito and Iguazu only runs irregularly and of course not today! Now somehow we have to ascribe that to ourselves, after all, we should have organized tickets for the long journey in the last few days.
In the evening at 8 o'clock after the first 6-hour bus journey through the province, we finally arrive at the bus station in Dourados, which currently looks more like a large construction site. In fact, the last bus of the day should already be full and the next one should not leave until 2 a.m. Since the alternatives have even longer for the same route during the day, we decide to wait for this one. So we spend our evening reading, chess and most of all Waiting. Next door is a homeless man who snores loudly all the time. Well, there are definitely more pleasant moments on my trip.
