- Road to Amboro National Park interrupted - tour canceled
- Day trip to the Biocentro Güembé
- Parrots, toucans and many other animals can be seen in the spacious enclosures
At 8 o'clock we are already at breakfast, where bad news awaits us. Our tour in the Amboro National Park has to be unfortunately canceled because a landslide has spilled the road. An alternative program should be possible from tomorrow. For today we have nothing else than a trip to with the Zurich couple Simon and Carina Biocentro Güembé close.
We let ourselves be chauffeured by taxi to the excursion destination, which is slightly outside of the city, and are initially quite surprised. A little Disneyland awaits us. The extremely well-kept complex with a stately admission price has numerous pools, orchid garden, butterfly and fantastic parrot aviary, turtle complex, monkey island and a small Pantanal marshland. In particular, we spend a lot of time in the huge bird enclosure, which reminds us of the bird park in Iguazu. The colorful macaws and toucans pull and simply under their spell again and again. When the stomach growls, we sit down to eat in the restaurant and spend the rainy afternoon with all kinds of topics of conversation.
Again by taxi we let ourselves be chauffeured to the center, where we have a milkshake. We march back to the hostel where we watch a movie and have a terrible pizza delivered. Probably the culinary low point of the trip!
