- Browse the colorful Sunday market in Pisac
- Explore the Inca ruins of Pisac
Today we start Sunday with delicious fruit juice and salad in the Market hall. Then we march directly to the plaza, where the Sunday market ready in full swing is. A colourful mix of fruits, vegetables and food stalls for the locals with traditionally dressed people from the surrounding mountains and many market stalls with the usual souvenirs for the tourists.
Here we are about to get one traditional move for Sunday church attendance. We to buy Sweaters, shawls and jewelry as gifts for our families as we will send another package from Cusco.
The stomach growls after the bulk shopping. In Ulrikes Cafe there is something delicious between the teeth. Then we browse a little more streets before we take a taxi to the local ruins. High above the town in an imposing location there are numerous remains of a Inca citadel and the Terraces.
This is typical of the Inca sheer unbelievable accuracy with which the stones fit together. Otherwise, the ruins are mainly due to their location and View of the sacred valley to please. On the opposite side of the valley are broken ones Graves to recognize which grave robbers have fallen victim. There is also a bath and a military fort in an exposed location.
We walk along the slope, under one of the massive stone gates through and pass a tunnel before we do that Intihuatana ceremony center catch sight of. It goes further down through the cluster of houses Pisaca, before we hit the main road again. The taxi brings us back to town. There we go straight to dinner and back to the room to update our blogs.
