Back in enchanting Cusco

  • Drive back to Cusco by mini van
  • More visits to the market and strolling through the innumerable souvenir stands
  • Visit to the Museo de Arte Precolombino

Our hand luggage with us and checked out, we have breakfast at Ulrikes Cafe. Then we go crammed into the next one Mini van back to Cusco. After we can finally move into our room, we set off for the city.

We go straight to the Mercado de San Pedrowhere we drink a delicious fruit extract. We stroll through the alleys of the city center looking for more bargains, pick up our Machu Picchu tickets at the travel agency and find a jewelry boutique where I can draw the brooch I'm looking for for my grandma myself.

Then we equip it Museo de Arte Precolombino a visit. Be beautifully presented in a magnificent colonial building Finds of different cultures (Inca, Nazca, Moche, Chimú, Huari) of ancient Peru. The stately admission price of 20 Sol is a bit too much of a good thing for the relatively few exhibits. But that generally seems to be the case here in Cusco. Whether authorities or private museums or landowners, everyone wants to earn their money from tourism! The dealers and taxi drivers always try to get an inflated price first.

After the early dinner, you will soon return to the hotel. While Niki is writing her diary, I draw various hummingbirds as a template for the silver brooch with inlaid stones. Then I update my old application, after all it is slowly time to think about the time after the trip.
