- Start of the ultra-long bus ride to Bogota
This time we have breakfast in the hostel and enjoy the great view of Quito again. Then we use the Internet a little before we pack, buy food supplies and check out.
Take a taxi to the Ormeño office around the Ultra long haul boarding from Lima to Caracas until to Bogota. However, this already hits with quite a delay one and there is hardly any space left for luggage, everything is completely overcrowded.
The usual blockbusters glorifying violence then run on board. At night 21 clock and already almost two hours late we reach the Colombian border. Information from the bus company is again in vain. But since everyone gets out, we assume that we are now at the limit. After the Ecuadorian exit stamp it goes on foot to the other side of the bridge and with that we also cross the border to Colombia. So we arrived in the penultimate country of our trip without any problems. Right at the border we change a small amount of dollars into Colombian pesos. Then the monster ride continues.
