Yesterday's long party night is practically everyone not without a trace passed by. Until the early hours of the morning, people chatted, drank and occasionally took a bath in the wonderfully warm Caribbean Sea. I have in the hammock good, but slept far too short when we get up at around 8.30 a.m. and rush to the breakfast buffet. But I'm pretty much the exception, many have - be it because of excessive alcohol consumption or the resulting snoring - accordingly slept little.
We spend the morning jumping into the water regularly and reading in the shade of the coconut trees. It is important to be careful of the incredibly intense solar radiation. Others lay around drawn by the sun and the long night, which reminds me of scenes from the Hangover movies! Nonetheless, some - especially the three Canadians Dan, Kris and Berton - are already throwing themselves into mixed rum drinks and Beer shotguns. We press a hole in a beer can with our thumb and then drink the beer as quickly as possible.
Lunch will soon be waiting and everyone is making their sandwiches. Then it is our time Packing things and to say goodbye to our very personal paradise. The first raindrops are falling and remind us how good luck with the weather we had in the last day.
After a quiet one and a half hour drive we reach the sleepy one Cali Port. There we load our luggage onto the roof of those waiting Jeeps and force us on the seats. The route leads through at a wild ride wonderful jungle through the semi-autonomous Guna Yala reserve. We have to go to the reservation border unload all luggage again. Fortunately, this time a run with the drug sniffer dog is enough. After a snack stop and almost 3 hours later we reach the impressive skyscraper of Panama City. Here we receive our bunk beds in the dorm and plunge into the eagerly awaited shower.
At the end of the tour, a delicious barbecue awaits you in the garden. Today, however, hardly anyone is in the mood to celebrate.
