Red Frog Beach and Party

  • Bathing, body surfing and playing bowls on Red Frog Beach
  • Dolphin sighted on the way back to Isla Colon
  • Long party night with many others from the San Blas group

We spend most of the rainy morning in the hotel. Breakfast is served at the bakery next door. Then we met arranged to meet Berton, Kris and Lena. We take a water taxi over to Isla Bastimentos. After a short hiking path through the rainforest, we reach the Red Frog Beach. We put our things under a shady parasol made of palm fronds and rush the floods. You should be careful with the flow and towering waves are not without. One of the waves catches me in an inattentive moment and just throws me over. It is not for nothing that the region is considered to be Surfer's paradise and offers waves that can even rival Hawaiian standards.

We play for quite a while after the bath Boccia. Then you go back to by water taxi Isla Colon. And this time we actually get ours Dolphin to see. He swims in the quiet mangrove bay and occasionally comes up to breathe.

But another dolphin
But another dolphin

In the hotel we get ready for the long night of partying. Numerous other participants on our San Blas tour have meanwhile arrived here. We go out to eat with the usual group and then take the water taxi over to Isla Carenerowhere the hostel Aqualounge With Ladys Night lures. The free drinks are not equally good for all women. The sea pool area with diving tower, slackline and two swings, from where you can drop directly into the water, leads to some dangerous moments. Fortunately, nobody hurts themselves more seriously. Why you as a hostel operator do not close the facility during the party remains a mystery to me. Still it was a fun evening!
