Arrival in the tri-border region

  • The waiting bus fails
  • Next connection finally at 5 a.m.
  • Direct onward journey from Cascavel to Foz de Iguazu

So we are still at the bus station from Dourados and change is unfortunately not in sight for the time being. Of course, punctuality in the middle of the night is wishful thinking. At 2.45 a.m. it gets even better, ours Bus fails and the next bus to Cascavel will now leave at 5 a.m. The wait is gradually becoming an ordeal, after all we are both totally tired.

The redemption finally follows at a little after 5 a.m., but we weren't the only ones who waited here all night. Fortunately, the bus has pretty comfortable seats and we soon fall into a restless but long overdue sleep. If we stop at a rest area in the meantime, we prefer to stay where we are. In the morning at 7 o'clock we are ready to go to sleep again, because the person sitting next to us cannot think of anything better than to listen to the radio recklessly. That in turn calls Niki on the scene and the man gets to hear a shower head.

The bus is emptying noticeably and we still get a few hours of urgently needed sleep before we get in around noon Cascavel arrive. Fortunately, everything works smoothly here this time and only a little later we sit in the bus Foz de Iguacu. While Niki sleeps a bit again, I use the time to write a diary and do my accounting. Another two hours later we come to the fertile one The triangle of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay at.

We take a taxi to the something out of the way Hostel Natura, where we shower and relax for the rest of the afternoon. After a simple dinner in the hostel, we will soon go to bed.
