Thanks to the spacious bed, we both sleep in. After the meager breakfast, we get on our socks. Today we go to Panama Viejo. Founded by the Spanish in 1519, the city quickly developed into one flourishing trading center on the route between the west coast of South America and Europe. The wealth manifested itself in numerous churches, a magnificent cathedral, hundreds of department stores and of course thousands of colonial buildings.

In particular, the valuable trade goods also drew other looks. So the city fell in 1671 to a raid by the English Pirate Henry Morgan victim who set the city on fire. Total destruction led to the abandonment of the once prosperous city and Casco Viejo was founded.
today only ruins testify of the former city, which are surrounded by wonderful tropical trees. Most impressive is certainly the still standing tower of the cathedral. A large part of the former city has now been built over by poorer districts. It's extreme again sultry hot here in Panama City. So we are happy to take a taxi to the city center after a relatively classy exploration tour through the ruins. It works again in the Multiplaza Pacifico Mallto browse more shops and get something to eat.

In the late afternoon we go back to the hotel, where we quickly freshen up and then take a taxi to the hotel Trump Ocean Center drive. There's a special one here at the casino All-you-can-drink offer for champagne. We sit on the balcony with a wonderful view of the Panama City skyline and enjoy one or the other glass of champagne and enjoy the last rays of sunshine of the day. Then there will be a short Round of roulette where memories of Las Vegas are awakened. A successful end to our unforgettable trip. Then we go for a delicious Arabic meal. In the hotel we have to pack something.
